Buk bilong Pikinini celebrates a Valentine’s Day of Partnership with Nasfund

Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) marked Valentine’s Day with a special event titled “Cupcakes with BbP”, celebrating its long‑standing partnership with Nasfund and acknowledging Nasfund’s continued support through the provision of office space for BbP’s Head Office, as well as ongoing governance support through the provision of meeting and conference facilities for BbP Board engagements.

The event highlighted the significance of this support, particularly in 2026, as BbP has recently relocated its Head Office to a new space in Downtown Port Moresby at The Face Building, a location that previously housed BbP Head Office. The visit also provided an opportunity for the Nasfund team to meet with BbP’s Head Office staff and gain insights into the day-to-day work undertaken to support the organisation’s mission.

Nasfund has supported Buk bilong Pikinini with office space since 2010, alongside governance support through access to meeting and conference spaces for BbP Board meetings. This contribution has played a critical role in strengthening the organisation’s operational capacity. This ongoing support enables BbP’s Head Office team to effectively oversee the delivery of its Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs, manage daily operations and administration, develop educational content, and ensure the smooth coordination of its learning centres across the country. BbP also acknowledges the support of its Board Treasurer, Ms Tamzin Wardley, who is also a Nasfund Board Member and whose guidance further strengthens the organisation’s governance and accountability.

Having a stable and supportive working environment is essential for the BbP team to deliver quality programs for children. Nasfund’s continued support with office space over the years has allowed us to focus on what matters most, improving literacy outcomes for children in Papua New Guinea through Early Childhood Education.

Since its inception in 2007, Buk bilong Pikinini has supported over 15,000 children through its learning centres nationwide. The provision of office space since 2010 has been a key enabler of this impact, allowing the organisation to grow sustainably and expand its reach to communities in need.

BbP expressed its gratitude to Nasfund for the longevity of the partnership and for reaffirming its commitment in 2026. The Valentine’s Day event symbolised appreciation, shared values, and the importance of long‑term collaboration in achieving meaningful social outcomes.

Buk bilong Pikinini remains privileged and grateful for Nasfund’s continued support, which directly contributes to BbP’s mission of increasing literacy rates in Papua New Guinea through Early Childhood Education.
