Baruni village gets a Buk bilong Pikinini Library Learning Centre

Today will see the opening of an additional Motu Koitabu village Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) Library Learning Centre (LLC). The first was opened in Pari village in 2019, followed by Vabukori in 2022 as part of a public-private partnership between Steamships Ltd., National Capital District Commission, Motu Koita Assembly, the Baruni Community Development Association and BbP. BbP also has an LLC on Tatana Island in partnership with City Pharmacy Limited.

Koki Markets Library Learning Centre donors fly to PNG to visit

Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) has today held a celebration at its Koki Markets Library Learning Centre to welcome Tim Green and Luke Savage of Australia-based Green Cloud Consulting. Due to international border closures, the donors have not had the opportunity to meet the children and teachers at the library the company has sponsored since 2020.

Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) has today received the donation of a Konica Minolta Bizhub printer from Remington Technology. In order to provide children enrolled at BbP’s Early Childhood Education Library Learning Centres, with the opportunity to learn to read and write, the organisation has a daily need for printing in high volumes.
