Steamships Limited - Swire sponsored our first Library Learning Centre (LLC) open to the general public in Port Moresby and has also sponsored LLCs in Lae and Goroka. Assisted with sponsoring our anniversary fundraiser venue in 2018. 

 Sir Brian Bell Foundation

 

  The Sir Brian Bell Foundation has sponsored four Library Learning Centres in Port Moresby located at the University of PNG, ATS Settlement, Evedahana Primary School and our Special Needs Learning Centre at Hohola. SBBF has also supported Literacy week and other special events.

 

  Airways Hotel sponsors Port Moresby General Hospital. Airways Hotel has provided hotel rooms for BbP Patrons and has kindly hosted our 2013 Cocktail Party Fundraiser. Airways also always assists with cakes and biscuits for special events.

 

 

 

The Australian Government has assited Buk bilong Pikinini with grants since 2012 for  capacity, program development and Library Learning Centre support.  

The Australian grants are managed by Palladium International through the Education Capacity Development Facility.

 

  Hastings Deering has provided storage space for our donated books at their site.

 

 

The Bank of South Pacific has sponsored 3 Library Learning Centres. The LLCs are located in Lae, Goroka and on Manus Island. BSP has also sponsored regional management capacity for BbP.

 

 

 

Seafast has set up book depots in three Australian states and ships all books donated to Buk bilong Pikinini to Papua New Guinea. 

 

Express Freight Management works with Seafast and Consort Express Lines to consolidate, ship, handle and clear all books donated to Buk bilong Pikinini.

The Oil Search Foundation has sponsored two Buk bilong Komuniti LLC's in Hela Province with more to come.

  Monier has sponsored our library situated at Rouna Quarry (Constantinou Group) to the north of 9 Mile Markets and settlement- just outside Port Moresby. Monier will has also been an important sponsor of our 2013 Cocktail Party fundraiser.
    Hebou is part of the Constantinou Group and supports the running costs of our Six Mile library.
  PNG LNG donates funds to support the annual running costs of our Koki Markets Library. The company has also made a financial donation to Buk bilong Pikinini for both technical support and for the creation of the new BbP documentary entitled "Literacy:The Buk bilong Pikinini Way".

Theodist is a long term sponsor of Buk bilong Pikinini. Starting in 2012 Theodist has provided BbP with a generous 50,000 Kina store credit as well as additional discounts as well as the production of our merchandise. 

Theodist hosts our book shop with the sale of excess stock going towards the sustainability of BbP.

    CPL and Stop n Shop sponsor the ongoing costs of our LLC on Tatana Island, Port Moresby.
    Curtain Brothers has enabled Buk bilong Pikinini to re-establish the former Koki Markets Community library and also establish a BbP library by carrying out an extensive renovation to the very damaged building at Koki Markets. CB also made bookcases, chairs and tables for the BbP library. Curtain Brothers has also built a library soon to be opened in Alotau.

Book Donors

    Hardie Grant Egmont has donated 4500 new children's books to BbP in 2013. We are very grateful for all the activity books and fantastic reading material for very young children!
  Oxford University Press is our most important book donor. All books produced for PNG Primary Schools are donated to all BbP libraries.
     Harper Collins has donated beautiful children's books in 2014.
  Wilkins Farago made a donation of 7000 children's books in 2011.
  The Hobart Book shop makes regular book and financial donations.
     Allen & Unwin has donated lovely children's books in 2014.
  Lifeline Canberra is currently our most regular donor of large quantities high quality second-hand books.
    Alison Lester has donated many of her books to Buk bilong Pikinini and is one of our wonderful patrons.
  Children's book author Hellen Tanner has donated 1000 copies of her new book in 2013.
